Outer Banks Stewardship

Holy Redeemer By the Sea - Stewardship As A Way of Life
STEWARDSHIP

"The promotion of the practice of stewardship is important for the mission of the Church and for the spiritual well-being of each individual Christian. Everyone benefits from the sacrificial gift one makes of his time, talent and treasure" His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI

Stewardship is biblically based. It is as old as the Old Testament and an integral part of our faith today. A Christian steward is “One who receives Gods gifts gratefully, cherishes and tends them in a responsible and accountable manner, shares them in justice and love with others, and returns them with increase to the Lord”.

When the Stewardship Committee hosted the Ministry Leaders Breakfast Meeting Seminar in October in preparation for the Ministry Fair, we collectively established a “theme” for our Stewardship effort which we refer to as “B.O.S.S.” which represents “Build On Small Successes”. The intent of the Ministry Fair was to celebrate all that our Parish and various ministries accomplish and to encourage more parishioners to get involved and to contribute to the mission of Holy Redeemer by the Sea parish.

During the Ministry Fair our Ministry Leaders collectively signed-on TWO HUNDRED and TWENTY SIX (226) new members to their respective committees. Here is a look at that successful weekend!
